Insects - TMTA

When I saw that the challenge for this week at TMTA was insects I thought "Bah! I'll definitely skip this one." Then I remembered that butterflies and dragonflies are insects too... :-)

I think "Moth(er) nature waking up" might be a suitable title for the vintage-looking ATC (the one with the watch).

Love is still in the air...

I wanted to make these for the first Make a moo challenge, which was about romance, but I never got the time. Then I thought I might finish them for the Valentine challenge at Wednesday stamper, but then again my professional life got in the way (sigh)... so I didn't finish them on time for the Valentine challenge either. :-(

Love is in the (h)air... ;-) - Wednesday Stamper

This week's theme on Wednesday stamper is Valentine. Well, I got the stamp of the lady last week and when I tried it on scrap paper to check its accuracy, I realized I might use it in an inchie (although the stamp is bigger, as you can see in the moo I posted previously).

My very first moo - Romance

Nellie Sterksel from the Netherlands has just created a fantastic challenge site: Make a moo or two. The theme for this first challenge was romance.
I wish I had had more time... I wanted to make at least one more... Well, maybe next time...

Happy St Valentine's Day!

Hello! - inching artists

The last time I checked inching artists, the theme was "Hello!"It wasn't an easy theme, so it took me a while to figure out what to do till I came up with these two inchies. (You should start by reading the lines of the doll, so that the lines of the parrot make sense.)

In the beginning of his career as a primary school teacher, my father bought lots of stamps to use with his pupils. The ones you can see in the "Hello!" inchies are part of two different sets. The beautiful doll belongs to the "objects" set and the naughty parrot is part of a set named "bonecos" (something like "puppets") -that's my favourite set. Anyway, they're all great stamps considering their age. They're about 30 years old and are still in very good shape. All right, I admit they've spent most of their lives closed in the boxes they originally came in. But if in the past they didn't have much use, that's about to change... ;-)
